The feeling of instigating a kind of conspiracy.
Consisting to communicate to the public my own inner visions, so that he could project them on the reality.

At the very heart of my books, through deformation or omission, in a desire to express deeper truths.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work ?

I took ten years to give its final form to Hygiène Rose, Chapter 1, my first graphic novel.
Ten years of research and silence.
I say this to support the fact that I can only assume what is perfectly in accordance with my intentions.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work ?

This is the period, quite close to childhood, during which I set up the site of what will become, a long time after, a new book. In a relative recklessness, my mind melts into the matrix of infinite variations of the possible, as in a dream. Little by little, I organize this material and make choices. And that’s where things start to get complicated …

If I could, what would I change about myself ?

On the contrary, I must perpetuate what I am. Here lies the true courage. Again, it is a question of freedom, responsibility and choice. But according to Chinese wisdom, to last, we must change.

What is my greatest achievement in work ?

My last graphic novel. La Fille-Miroir, published in 2016.
This crazy project of 128 pages was entirely financed on a crowfunding platform in a few days by a handful of supports.

To give oneself the means to do what corresponds to an inner necessity.

Wherever my work will have its right of place.

My relationship to the imaginary and the real.

The public gardens. Full of mysteries and sexual perverts.

Ulysses, by James Joyce. Because it tells that the human identity is limitless by using time and space as only landmarks to describe it.

Nothing interests me in life except art, which is everywhere.

I will publish in september a zine that will be very clear about my intentions.

I would like to meet new artists from every countries, to exchange and set up projects.

What project, in 2017, am I looking forward to work on ?

I am currently working on the illustration of Augusta and L’Entité, an extraordinary novel written by my partner Frederika.
In this book, the themes of vampirism rub shoulders with those of femininity and the discovery of sexuality.
This is my first work of illustrating outside of my own books, and it is the first time that an artist takes possession of Frederika’s powerful and unique universe.
Combining our energies, we move towards the creation of a new literary genre through proposing an appealing and original object.

Where can you see me or my work in 2017 ?

The original watercolors of La Fille-Miroir will be exhibited in October at the CEVAD, the new art center of the city of Carpentras, France.

What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me ?

The quest of joy is eternal.
