What’s the thing I love the most about my job? The surprise factor, the possibility of always comparing myself with new formal and creative issues.
What is my idea of happiness? To love and to feel loved.
What is my biggest fear? Depression
What is the trait that I deplore most in myself? My mood swings very often, I’m permanently dissatisfied.
Which living people in my profession do I admire the most? Maurizio Cattalan, for his ability to surprise, Nino Caruso for his vocation to the diffusion of ceramics, in general whoever is able to make art alive.
What is my biggest extravagance? My innate ability at not being extravagant.
On what occasion should I lie? Whenever I do not want to offend or hurt someone.
What is the thing I like the least in my work? The falseness, the hypocrisy, the opportunism and the trends of a side of the art market.
When and where have I been the happiest in my job? In September 2017 I won the Carouge international ceramic competition in Switzerland, an unexpected and very overwhelming award.
If I could, what would I change about myself? I do not know, I have learned how to accept myself.
What is my biggest achievement at work? Having invented new ceramic colours that only I can do.
What do the words “Financial freedom to create” mean to me? A lie, a pretext, I am not convinced that wealth is a prerogative to creation, it’s simply nothing more than a convenience.
Where would I like to live more? I love my mountains more than anything but I would like to stay for some periods even in a few big cities like Milan, Berlin, etc …
What is my most precious treasure? Physical health

Which books have influenced my life and how? The society of the show by Guy Debort, all the writings of Kandinsky and Italian Lessons by Italo Calvino confirmed to me some thoughts that I already had but that I could not make clear by myself.

You only die once. What music would I like to listen to on my last day? The spring festival of Igor Stravinsky.
Who is my hero or heroine in fiction? Archimedes Pythagorean and the Fantastic Four.
Who are my heroes and my heroines in real life? My mother and my wife, the others are all dead.

Who would I like to work with in 2018? With a great international gallery, so to leave Italy and let my work travel the world.
Which people in my profession would I like to meet in 2018? I do not know, I’m afraid I would be disappointed, I let these meetings lead by chance.
What project, in 2018, can not wait to work? The creation of a large sculpture for a square in Reggio Emilia.

In Germany at the Keramic Museum Westerwaldmuseum of Hohr-Grenzhausen in Koblenz, in Switzerland at the Museum de Ceramique Ville de Caruge in Geneva, in Italy at the Museum of the Academy of Fine Arts in Perugia or at the Cielle Ceramics Museum in Castellamonte. In some galleries, in Bologna at Terre Rare, in Venice at the Orler Gallery, in Brescia at the LB studio, but I am mostly in my studio in Madonna di Campiglio in Trentino.
What do the words “Passion Never Retires” mean to me? Passion is certainly necessary in a job like mine but we must never forget that it is at the same time an inner fire that if you can not dominate can also reduce you to ashes, making you forget that life is made of other things and other people.
