What is the best thing that I love about my work?

Being an artist is not only a job, but a way of living and experiencing this existence. As a Gallerist, Artist, and Patron : I love that I can help to share this with others as well.

What is my idea of perfect happiness?

Unlimited capital to grow, sustain, and support the proliferation of new sincere works of Art. Simply attending and purchasing art from Galleries, can do much to make an impact and the continuation of such.

What is my greatest fear?

Capitalism, Greed, and War could destroy these places for the arts and artists alike. I feel that art is intrinsic to a healthy society. I conquer those fears every day through the success which Future Gallery and Tattoo Nouveau has had.

What is the trait that I most deplore in myself?


Which living persons in my profession do i most admire?

Although he is not technically alive, his work lives on stronger than ever on social media, youtube, and through those he has inspired. Terence Mckenna had the courage, wisdom, and took action to help change our culture for the better.

What is my greatest extravagance?

Running a gallery based upon Integrity, Passion, and cultural significance. I make my money through tattooing; fortunately this allows me to be compelled to support the growth and sustaining of the gallery here.

On what occasion would I lie?

Truth is relative to our subjective points of view; I think we are all capable of deluding ourselves to a lie, unknowingly. I strive towards a more objective and aware conscious view. Lies are too taxing and fragile to put my efforts into though.

What is the thing that I dislike the most in my work?

Overthinking; deadlines help me past this, still I tend to be my own biggest critic.

When and where was I the happiest, in my work?

Each passing day, week, year seems to be successfully building upon previous achievements. In this I have been the happiest I have ever been; where I was at once a very anxious and at times depressed individual. Art has healed me and others with it’s Zen like qualities. Bringing happiness to others has been the source of my own.

If I could, what would I change about myself?

I try to suspend and humble myself to what I do not know, or am able to do, despite the intoxicating euphoria of my Ego and it’s ambitions. I strive to increase my awareness and compassion. In my own art, I want it to have consequence towards a better world, but this is not always easy to convey or achieve.

What is my greatest achievement in work?

The results these studios have produced. Many of lives have been altered and effected through the art that comes through here.

What do the words ‘The Financial Freedom to Create’ mean to me?

No outstanding college debt, sustainable income that matches the costs to production, and good health care. Unfortunately these things are rare for artists to obtain.

Where would I most like to live?

Tokyo, but I really do love Lake Orion, Mi

What is my most treasured possession?

Studio Space to create.

What is my most inspirational location, in my city?

Nothing inspires me more than the experiences here at Future Gallery/Tattoo Nouveau

What is my favorite place to eat and drink, in my city?

Luckily my better half is an amazing Chef.

What books influenced my life and how?

Hero’s Journey by Joseph Campbell, Be Here Now by Ram Dass, Mission of Art by Alex Grey

These have all altered my perceptions for the better.

Who are my favorite writers?

Artists: musicians, poets, painters, and the like. They have helped me feel less alone, but sharing in the complex experience as a creative.

You Only Die Once. What music would I listen on my last day?

I’ll have to make this playlist along Spotify; It would likely include Pink Floyd, Massive Attack, & Nick Cave

Who is my hero or heroine in fiction?

I would have said Luke Skywalker; but recent writings have ruined that notion for me.

Who are my heroes and heroines in real life?

Alex Grey, Banksy, & the relentlessly sincere artists out there.

Who is my greatest fan, sponsor, partner in crime?

I’m overwhelmed by the support from our patrons here, the hard work my team and apprentice puts behind our success, and to my better half that I know will always be there to support me. Secretly; I like to imagine some divine intervention guides me just as well.

Whom would I like to work with in 2018?

Passionate, Skilled, & Professional artists that I have worked with or have yet to meet this year.

Which people in my profession would i love to meet in 2018?

More Gallerists, Artists, and Patrons that shape and change this very particular part of society.
